In the Heat of Summer (Reading)
 
Summer Reading is now in full swing, but lucky for you we still have a full month remaining of exciting programs that explore this year's theme of "Build a Better World." Many programs include prizes for winning participants, so put those thinking caps on and get to your favorite library ASAP!
 
Additionally, any programs attended during the final week of Summer Reading (July 24th-July 29th) will earn you DOUBLE the normal amount of coins and tickets making those programs ones you can't miss!

Troutman Police Department Story Time
Wednesday, July 12th, at 11:00am
Join Troutman Police Officer Wayne Elmore in a fun and interactive story time to learn all about the Troutman Police Department and how they make our community a better place and keep us safe!
Around the World Story Time with Claire the Storyteller
Wednesday, July 19th, at 11:00am
Join us for a fun event for the whole family featuring Claire the Storyteller. You will learn the importance of building a better world by embarking on a trip around the world through stories from other cultures. This program is sponsored by the Town of Troutman. One lucky attendee will also win a door prize!

Breakout EDU
Thursday, July 6th, at 2:00pm
This is a fun scavenger hunt style activity that develops team-building and problem solving by answering riddles and finding clues hidden around the library to unlock the Breakout Box with prizes inside! Registration is required. Please sign up at the front desk
Teen Finale: Teen Lock In at the Statesville Library
Friday, July 28th, from 6:30-10:00pm
Say goodbye to Summer Reading the fun way with an action-packed finale taking place at the Main library in Statesville. Activities will include crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and more! Signed permission slips are required for anyone participating who is under the age of 18. This program will occur after normal business hours.

Pinterest Craft Club: Paint Night
Wednesday, July 12th, at 5:30pm
The popular Paint Night has returned! Make your own world better and paint your very own version of an image from our beautiful world. Registration is required. Please sign up at the front desk.
Outdoor Yoga with Jill Falconer
Saturday, July 29th, at 2:00pm
Join Jill Falconer for a calm and relaxing session of yoga in the great outdoors. The June 24th session will be on the lawn of the library. The July 29th session will take place at the Troutman ESC Park. Door prizes will be available for both events.
