DCCC Cancer Awareness Kickoff event begins fundraiser for Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County

 

Who: Davidson County Community College – DCCC students and faculty/staff; Guest speaker Ray Howell, Executive Director of Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County; Litzy Lule-Medrano, DCCC Student Ambassador Event Coordinator


What: DCCC hosts a Cancer Awareness Kickoff event to raise awareness and benefit the Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County

Where: Courtyard Fountain, Davidson Campus, 297 DCC Road, Thomasville, NC 27360

When: Monday, October 1, 2018, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Why: The DCCC Courtyard Fountain will become a change well to bring awareness to cancer and raise money for the Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County. The event will be marked by turning the fountain water pink.

Guest speaker Ray Howell, Executive Director of Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County, will spotlight the event. He will explain the services provided by the organization as well as the importance of bringing awareness to the effects of cancer in Davidson County.
 

Change accumulated in the fountain will be collected at the end of the month of October. All proceeds benefit Carolina Cancer Services of Davidson County. DCCC Student Ambassadors organized the event and fundraiser.
