THE SOUTHERN IDEAL HOME SHOW INVITES GUESTS TO RETHINK HOME IMPROVEMENT

The 32nd annual show offers demos, displays and expert advice

Charlotte, N.C. (Aug. 10, 2016) For more than three decades, homeowners have relied on the Southern Ideal Home Show for inspiration, know-how and an unrivaled assembly of experts. When the show returns Friday, Sept. 9 through Sunday, Sept. 11, more than 200 exhibiting companies will offer inspiration for a total remodel – or just some cost-effective updating. The 32nd annual event, themed “Rethink, Refresh, Remodel,” takes place at The Park Expo and Conference Center at 800 Briar Creek Road in Charlotte.

The giant home show brings experts from the homebuilding and home improvement industries together with homeowners seeking ideas – and deals. Exhibiting companies will have materials and expertise on everything from landscape lighting to bathroom lighting, from fireplaces to free-standing fire pits, from chalk paint to spray paint.

“A home remodel starts with a photo you saw in a magazine or something you saw on TV – an idea,” said Show Manager Mardee Woodward. “We help homeowners take those initial thoughts and turn them into a reality – ones you can budget for. Whether you’re just starting to brainstorm – or you’re ready to break ground – this show has something for you. And as always, we’ve done all the advance work for you. All you have to do is come and explore.”

“The Southern Ideal Home Show is for both total, roll-your-sleeves-up DIYers and those homeowners who hire out contracting jobs, decorating and landscaping services,” Woodward added.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet exhibitors with fixtures, tile, flooring, cabinets, lighting, window treatments and building materials on display. Those interested in lawn and garden will find landscape pros with information on irrigation, furniture, spas, pools and more.  And it’s all under one big roof.

In addition to all the information, ideas and comparison pricing guests can collect at the show, there is plenty of fun to be had, too. Charlotte’s top chefs will host demos on the cooking stage, and among this year’s special guests are Brett Raymer and Wayde King from Animal Planet’s “Tanked.” They’ll be discussing fish tanks and showcasing some of the most extravagant fish housing you can imagine.  Don’t miss the behind-the-scenes story from their hit TV show.
